15 Greatest Horror Movie Comedies

12. Ghostbusters

What We Do In The Shadows
Columbia Pictures

There is no need to re-tread the plot of Ghostbusters here in too much detail. In short three parapsychologists set us as an emergency service for ridding New York residents and establishments of ghosts. Ghostbusters is one of cinema’s most beloved spooky comedies.

The special effects of the film are wonderful for the time and the dialogue is sublime. Ghostbusters has so many highlight moments throughout and such a clever story that it is hard to pick out particular areas which stand out from the whole.

Certainly, the final quarter is fantastic, the scenes in Dana Barret’s (Sigourney Weaver) apartment, the hotel scene, Dr. Venkman’s telekinesis experiment and pretty much everything involving Rick Moranis’s Louis Tully are all amazing moments.
