Although not a lead actor, Richard Griffiths was a huge part of the Harry Potter movies as Vernon Dursley, Harry's controlling, abusive uncle with a hatred for all things magical. Griffiths, who appeared in over sixty film and theatre productions during his career, passed away on March 28th, 2013 at the age of 65. Included in his film credits outside the Harry Potter series are Sleepy Hollow, Hugo, Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Gandhi, The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell Of Fear, and the British television movie Ballet Shoes, where he starred along with follow Harry Potter alum Emma Watson. He passed away from complications due to heart surgery.
