Marvel movies have a weight of expectation on them to come with lots of Easter Eggs - even when they're made by Sony - and Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse proved no different in 2018.

As well as lots of references to the comics, the sublime animation (which deserved to make WAY more money than it did in the end), the film hid a number of famous names from Spider-Man history in a pretty clever way.

As Miles Morales takes out his phone and looks through his contacts, fans would have been able to spot B Bendis and Sara Pichelli in reference to his two creators (Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli), as well as "D. Slott" for Dan Slott, who invented the concept of the Spider-Verse, and "Jason Reynolds," who wrote Miles Morales: Spider-Man.

There's also another phone contact reference when Miles' father looks at his phone and we see "S Ditko" in reference to Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko. Very clever.
