15 Insane Shocks & Snubs From 2015 Oscar Nominations

1. Shock: Selma Only Nominated For Best Song...And Best Picture

Perhaps no film had such a bizarre showing at this year's announcement as Selma, which scooped a Best Picture nomination along with one single other, for Common and John Legend's song, "Glory". While initially considered a strong contender in the additional areas of Best Director, Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay in the very least, it lost out on all of these categories, pretty much sealing its fate as a Best Picture bridesmaid that will probably scoop the Best Original Song win and nothing else. It's a mighty fall for a film that's enjoyed a whirlwind of acclaim since it started screening in November, a late bloomer to the Oscar race, and one that was unavoidably hurt by the screener drama as well as the general controversy surrounding the film's content. So, what's your take on this year's Oscar nominations? What was a shock? What was snubbed? Who's going to win next month? Shout it out in the comments!
