2. A Lot Of Spots

Have you ever watched 101 Dalmations and wondered just how many Dalmation spots on visible on screen all the way through? No, of course you haven't, because you're probably not that weird. But someone once did, and there is an answer.

It turns out that there are 6,469,952 spots visible on-screen, which breaks down as 72 spots on Pongo, 68 on Perdita and 32 on each puppy. Stunningly, this wasn't revealed by Disney, but by a fan, who pain-stakingly counted frame-by-frame.

To go along with that ridiculously big number, 800 gallons of special paint were used to colour the animation cells and backgrounds, which is enough to pain the outside of 135 average homes. Remarkably, more than 1,000 different colours were used.
