1. The Lone Ranger
This is yet another film that will collaborate Director, Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp together. After Pirates of The Caribbean and Rango, Verbinski has showed a real liking to Depp and this could be the start of a classic film double act similar to that of Scorsese and De Niro. However Depp has a previous collaborator in Tim Burton which may lead to tensions between the two directors. Verbinski's latest film, The Lone Ranger, tells of the story of native american spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) as he recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer) from a man of the law, into a legend of justice. This film also features British stars such as Tom Wilkinson and Helena Bonham-Carter, and after the recent success of Tarantino's Django Unchained, it is another film that very much shows the recent resurgence of the dying western genre in film.
