15 Most Anticipated Sci-Fi Movies Coming In 2021
5. Venom: Let There Be Carnage
Ahead of Venom's release, it was widely believed that the movie would follow in the footsteps of Blade by merging the worlds of comic books and horror. Instead, it was essentially a full-blown sci-fi, and it seems likely that the Andy Serkis directed sequel will head down a similar route.
Titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the movie - now set for release on June 25th, 2021 - plot details are few and far between, but as the title suggests, Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock is set to square off with Woddy Harrelson's Carnage. Naomie Harris is playing Shriek, and Michelle Williams is (surprisingly) set to return as Anne Weying/She-Venom.
With Ruben Fleischer moving on to Uncharted, the quality of this corner of Sony's Marvel Universe should increase massively, and it's likely Serkis is planning to explore Venom's alien roots if some recent rumours are to be believed.
