The Moment: Not so much a single moment as the fact that Franz Oberhauser aka Blofeld (Christoph Waltz) only appears in Bond's latest for about three minutes until the movie's final act, where his total screen time totals maybe twenty-ish minutes? Why It's Controversial: Because the idea of Waltz playing any Bond villain, let alone Blofeld, is just too delicious, but to see him wasted and given a poor daddy issues motive to boot just feels like a huge disservice to Waltz's character. Yes, it's hopefully a set-up for Blofeld to have a much larger role in the next Bond flick, but absolutely nothing is guaranteed. If this is as good as the new Blofeld gets, the Bond hardcores are going to rain down scorn until the end of time.
