15 Most Hilariously Inaccurate Movie Titles

1. This Is Not A Film

What Everyone Expected: Well, certainly not a film by any means. An art installation to play at film festivals, art museums and so on, perhaps? What Actually Happened: This is very much a film, a protest documentary of sorts by Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi, who was given a 20-year filmmaking ban by the government, and in rebuke, he decided to start filming his life. Though the scenarios themselves aren't anything particularly fascinating, it's Panahi's spirit to use art to decry the Iranian government's attempt to stifle artistic expression which wins out here, with the film eventually having to be smuggled out of Iran to the Cannes Film Festival inside of a birthday cake. But yes, it is very much a film in every way that a film could possibly be categorised. What It Should Have Been Called: The title is perfectly paradoxical, so it has to stay. Are there any other outrageously inaccurate movie titles? Shout it out in the comments!
