15 Most Hilariously Inaccurate Movie Titles

8. Nightcrawler

What Everyone Expected: A standalone spin-off movie involving one of X-Men 2's most beloved new characters, Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming), who was also supposed to appear in X-Men: Days of Future Past but didn't due to the already-huge size of the roster. It's because he was getting his own movie instead, yeah? What Actually Happened: Nope. In fairness, the result is likely a much better movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a ridiculously sleazy, opportunistic young man eager to break into the world of news journalism, and though the title absolutely fits, it's hard to watch it without thinking of that sneaky blue mutant trying to assassinate the President of the United States. What It Should Have Been Called: Bloom, Morning News, or pretty much anything else.
