5. Professor X
The next two entries are linked by the fact that they have been casted multiple times with both actors being perfect for the part. In the case of professor X, both Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy bring their own unique positive to the role. Patrick Stewart lends a certain gravitas to the role and is completely believable as the leader of the X-Men and commands complete respect from the other characters. McAvoy plays Professor X as a more daring but no less effective leader. The founder of the X-Men, as well as the man who gave them their iconic name, Charles Xavier is arguably the most important character in the X-Men universe as he attempts to bring young mutants to his school in order to train them to use their powers responsibly. With the upcoming Days of Future Past, both incarnations of Professor X will appear and it would be absolutely incredible if McAvoy and Stewart ended up in the same scene.
