Fans of the Jurassic Park franchise will know that any creature with the word 'raptor' in its name is probably deadly and, just in case you were curious, that certainly applies to these bad boys.

Absolutely giant in every way imaginable, the Bioraptors served as the primary antagonists of the 2000 film Pitch Black. Residing on the planet M6-117, they're highly photosensitive - meaning that they're susceptible to even the tiniest bit of light and thus, spend most of their lives living underground. However, when an eclipse occurs, anything that moves on their home planet is as good as dead as they swarm to the surface in search of food.

The only thing more terrifying than their carnivorous eating habits is their appearance, as they're huge creatures with large wings, skeletal bodies and a massive head that is so thin it's almost two-dimensional. And even though they don't have any eyes, they have sensor organs on each side of their head (basically in place of eyes) that can hear even the slightest of sounds. They've also razor sharp teeth so best to stay in the light... at all times.
