15 Movie Sequels That Will Definitely Be Announced In 2017

2. Sausage Party 2

Guardians Of The Galaxy 3
Columbia Pictures

In spite of the controversy surrounding the cost-cutting practices of Sausage Party's production, it nevertheless made $140.7 million against a $19 million budget. Not bad for a film that culminates in a food orgy.

Seth Rogen actually changed the movie's original ending because it wasn't a compelling enough hook for a sequel, and he's been talking up the idea of a live action-animation hybrid in the vein of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

That combination of media would obviously result in a substantially higher budgetary requirement for the sequel, but considering that Rogen's movies are consistently successful, Columbia would be smart to support his barmy vision.

Rogen's slate isn't hugely busy right now, so formal confirmation of the sequel could very well be with us this year.
