8. Brazil
Your friend loves to point out many of the concepts explored in this movie every time you watch it, almost as if he had come up with them himself. Either way, he always knows that no one else would be able to discern what the movie is saying if it wasn't for him. "Plastic surgery. Processed artificial food. Too many billboards. Overcrowding, loss of humanity, credit cards for kids, genetic engineering, a false sense of convenience! And all it causes is pain. All Sam wanted to do was be happy. And look what they did to him. Look what they did to a human life. His only crime was being born into the world. We live in a police state where there's nothing we can do to be happy. Even if we wanted to leave, there's still nowhere to go! Maybe Alaska. And Brazil is SO hilarious and perfect! I love Monty Python." Which always brings you to another can of worms.
