Thanks to its timeless satire and biting wit, Hot Fuzz feels surprisingly timeless - despite its fascination with hoodie culture. It also helps that Edgar Wright made the inspired choice to focus its homages on films that are not only cult classics but beloved pillars of cinema.

And yes, that does mean Bad Boys.

Simon Pegg might now be more seriously associated with the Star Trek reboot universe that JJ Abrams kicked off before jumping ship to Star Wars and Mission Impossible, but for his older fans, he'll forever be the fresh-faced boy in Spaced who grew up to be Sgt Nicholas Angel. And as long as we want a fourth chapter in the Cornetto Trilogy, the best film in that series will feel fresh on screen.
