15 Obscure Horror Films You Need To See

8. Fear(s) Of The Dark

Inside Horror
Prima Linea Productions

A group effort between some of the best, little known illustrators and artists in the business, Fear(s) Of The Dark, or, Peur(s) Du Noir as it's known in its native France, addresses the issue that plagues all of us at one point in our lives (just what is it about the dark that gets us terrified) and does so with style.

While animated horror isn't an unknown commodity, this collection of tales towers over the likes of Perfect Blue, Twilight Of The Dark Master and, erm, Alvin And The Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein in the chill stakes.

Each story, be it the plain animation of the opening tale (death by dogs, you will grimace) all the way to the three-dimensional doodlings of a bug's tale with a twist, leave a lasting impression on the mind. Unsettling and not like anything you would have seen before.
