15 Problems Only Film Fans In 2016 Would Understand

14. The DCEU's Disappointing Double-Whammy

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice released to primarily negative reviews and heavily divided the fanbase, what with its studio-molested final edit, an underwhelming titular showdown and a lame third-act battle against Doomsday.

When the dust settled, fans assured themselves that Suicide Squad, with its gorgeously-edited trailers set to iconic pop music, couldn't possibly repeat the same level of disappointment.

Oh.

Hilariously, Suicide Squad actually scored marginally worse reviews than BvS, again criticised for its choppy editing and underwhelming villain.

DC fans were naturally in despair, and though Warner Bros. smartly released a very promising Justice League teaser at this year's Comic-Con, fans would be very naive to expect anything more than "mixed reviews" for either that or Wonder Woman, both due for release next year.
