15 Reasons Tim Burton’s Batman Is Better Than Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight

7. The Batmobile

This is pretty much a no brainier. One is a sexy, stylish and a design classic while the other is a big, bulky tank thing that looks like it should be in a Michale Bay Transformers movie. Just like the basic removal of a proper functioning Batcave, the Batmobile was another victim of Nolan's obsession with forcing reality into the Batman universe. Instead of an awesome looking Batmobile, we got the big, clunky Tumbler. No one is going to deny that the Tumbler was an aggressive beast but it's biggest problem was that it just wasn't nice to look at. The 1989 Batmobile was equally not a pushover with it's double machine guns, bombs and shields but all that force was packaged into one of the best vehicles ever seen on the silver screen. It was a good looking car that made you go WOW when you saw it and that is the most important thing when designing a vehicle for Batman. We know it's got weapons and gadgets built into it, that's not what makes you love the car, it is all about how it looks and that is where the Tumbler failed because the only thing it had going for it was that it was functional.
