5. Assassin's Creed Features The Highest Stuntman Free-Fall In 35 Years
Given the number of free-falls that happen in both the video game and its movie adaptation, you'd be forgiven for assuming the film's Leap of Faith was simply composited digitally, but in fact, at least one of the leaps was done for real.
Michael Fassbender's stunt double Damien Walters performed a 125-foot free-fall for the film, reportedly the highest that has been pulled off in almost 35 years. Walters performed a few smaller jumps to work up to the big jump, falling onto an inflatable platform in order to break his fall.
Say what you want about the movie, but it's pretty awesome that someone had the grapefruits to do this for real, even if you ultimately can't really tell the difference amid all the CGI environments.
