15 Stupid Mistakes That Somehow Made It Into 2017 Movies

Wonder Woman may be the sturdiest DCEU movie to date, but that didn't stop it from making a number of silly mistakes pertaining to its period setting.

The film contains numerous references to French cabaret singer Édith Piaf, including her name appearing on a boat when Diana (Gal Gadot), Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and their squad arrive in Belgium (pictured below), and one of Piaf's songs playing during the post-liberation celebration in Veld.

This is all well and good, except for the fact that Piaf wasn't born until 1915, making her a maximum of two years of age during the movie's events (as World War I ended in 1918), rendering these inclusions hilariously anachronistic.

While the boat could easily be an honest mistake where nobody thought to check the boat's signage, the song was clearly an active, conscious inclusion, which is all the more humilating considering that Piaf wasn't even discovered until 1935, almost two decades after WWI ended.
