In a paw-licking twist only ever set aside for Hollywood, Michelle Pfeiffer was actually second choice to play Catwoman In Batman Returns, eventually squeezed into the catsuit courtesy of original choice Annette Bening falling pregnant to a litter - but that's enough of the cat quips.

But what a wonderful happenstance this was, with Pfeiffer fully embracing the dual roles of Selina Kyle and Catwoman, flinging her way through every scene confirming that you wouldn't want to be on the end of her bull whip, claws and tongue. Pure venom in lycra and arguably the only character to really give Bats a run for his money on the big screen, she is simply unforgettable.
