The Premise: Uppity businessman Tom Brand (Kevin Spacey) ends up trapped in the body of the family cat, Mr. Fuzzypants. Hijinks ensue.
Why It Looks Awful: It's the year's most blatant paycheck role, with Spacey humiliating himself for what was surely several dumptrucks worth of cash. It was also written by a committee of five people, which is never a good sign, and is directed by the wildly inconsistent Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black, Wild Wild West).
Why It'll Make A Profit: The family crowd will lap it up: the adults like Spacey, the kids like the animal shenanigans, and it also happens to have an improbably good cast, with Christopher Walken and Jennifer Garner taking supporting parts. Oh, and it clearly cost very little to make, so there's that.
