15 Terrible Looking 2016 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit
1. Ouija 2
The Premise: Another group of hapless teens summon an evil spirit once they begin tampering with a Ouija board.
Why It Looks Awful: We haven't seen any footage yet, but the 2014 original is one of the worst theatrically-released horror flicks of the last decade, so it's hard to be optimistic.
Though it's written and directed by Mike Flanagan (Oculus, Hush) and boasts a much better cast than the first film, it's unlikely that Flanagan will be able to do much with the premise beyond rehash and perhaps slightly improve upon the original. So, it'll probably still suck.
Why It'll Make A Profit: The first film made an astonishing $103 million against a $5 million budget, and presuming that Ouija 2 will have an equivalent budget, there's almost no chance of it not being profitable. It's just too easy to market to the undemanding horror crowd, especially with that lame PG-13 rating.
