5. Lotso Trouble

The main villain of Toy Story 3, Lots-O’-Huggin’ Bear, was originally supposed to feature in the first movie, but animators didn’t have the required technology at the time to animate the fur on the cuddly toy.

A pink teddy bear that is thought to be an early design for Lotso does appear in the first Toy Story film, but it wasn’t until the third movie that he became a fully-fledged character. When Lotso did eventually appear in Toy Story, he ended up causing even more trouble for Pixar that resulted in them getting sued.

Diece-Lisa Industries, the company that own the ‘Lots of Hugs’ cuddly bear line, took Pixar to court following the release of Toy Story 3 for an alleged trademark violation.

According to an article in The Hollywood Reporter, DLI sued Disney and Pixar for ‘unfair competition and trademark infringement and demanding profits attributable to the alleged bad actions, trebled damages and an injunction on future use of the ‘Lotso’ character.’

You just can’t trust that evil, pink bear.
