15 Upcoming Films That Could Score 0% On RottenTomatoes

5. Rings

The Pitch: The belated follow-up to the two American Ring movies, taking place 13 years after the original as Samara's video-based curse pursues a new group of poor, hapless fools. Why It Could Score 0%: The most damning evidence that Rings is in trouble is that the movie is out in less than 3 months and there hasn't yet been a single official promotional image or trailer. That's just the tip of the iceberg, though: Akiva Goldsman (the mastermind behind such atrocities as Batman And Robin, Lost In Space and Winter's Tale) is co-writing it, the cast is largely full of unknowns (though strangely, The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki is in it), and above all else, it already sounds like an extremely desperate attempt to bring the long-dormant franchise back to life. Expect a low-effort film that probably makes its budget back just fine at the box office, but will see critics spitting bile. Release Date: November 13 (US), January 1, 2016 (UK)
