Release Date: TBA

Budget: $20 million (estimated)

Perhaps no film in recent memory has had as arduous a journey to the big screen as this new Amityville movie nobody really asked for.

Amityville: The Awakening was originally shot back in mid-2014 for a planned 2015 release, but poor test screenings resulted in numerous delays and reshoots as recent as last year.

Though the film currently remains without a U.S. release date, it was released in almost 20 countries over the summer, where it's grossed a pathetic total of $3.7 million.

Considering that the horror genre is typically a safe bet financially, this speaks volumes about just how little audiences care about another Amityville, and when the film eventually releases in America, it's likely to come and go without much fanfare, possibly even landing direct to VOD.

Estimated Box Office: $26 million
