15 Upcoming Movies Destined To Be Box Office Bombs

11. Flatliners

Flatliners Ellen Page
Columbia Pictures

Release Date: September 29

Budget: $20 million

Though this soft reboot of the 1990 cult classic thriller was sensibly filmed on a low budget, the lack of bonafide movie stars, atrocious marketing campaign and releasing opposite a Tom Cruise movie in the U.S. (American Made) are all sure to hurt it financially.

Plus, it'd be a shock if Flatliners wasn't critically panned, which will surely only further tank its chances of making an impact at the box office. Perhaps it might get a boost from the teenage crowd thanks to the planned PG-13 rating, but even so, it's unlikely to climb far above its budget, if even that.

Estimated Box Office: $26 million
