The Original Movie: Four animals, a zebra, lion, hippo and giraffe, reside in Central Park Zoo, but soon enough find themselves accidentally shipped to Madagascar, Africa, and must find their way back home. The Ripoff: Zootopia is a metropolis for mammals, a utopia where all sorts of animals can pleasantly co-exist, but when an animal goes missing, it's up to bunny Officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and quick-witted scoundrel Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) to figure things out. There are a number of consistent elements here: a group of animals live together in harmony until that idyllic existence is disrupted, resulting in some animals attempting to restore the status quo by returning home. Sure, the animation style is different and the premise isn't precisely the same, but it certainly sounds like Disney drew from inspiration from DreamWorks (and the series' colossal box office success) with this one.
