13. Scary or Die (2012)
Scary or Die follows the tradition of the British masterpiece Dead of Night, meaning this is a horror anthology within an overriding story frame. Within its five interwoven tales, Scary or Die contains a chapter about - you guessed it - a killer clown! But this isn't your garden-variety killer clown. No, this guy is a flesh-eating, garden-variety killer clown. I can't honestly say Scary or Die is a good movie, but the clown episode is more than unique enough to hold my interest. The main thrust of the story is that psychotic, killer clown-ness is actually a disease spread by the bite of a flesh-eating, garden-variety killer clown (much like the reproductive cycle of a flesh-eating, garden-variety zombie). I like this idea for a one-shot movie such as Scary or Die. Check it out and watch the drug dealer suffer through his clown disease.
12. The Clown Murders (1976)
This one is REALLY weird. Featuring John Candy as Ollie, The Clown Murders is part horror, part thriller, part 1976 exploitation, and part unclassifiable. I really don't know what to make of this film, but it has John Candy sort of getting raped by a girl. Now THAT is weird. Plus it has a killer clown, so I HAD to put it in this article. In all seriousness, this movie sucks. I hated it. The plot is thin, the killer doesn't make an appearance until an hour into the movie, and if you're expecting it to be funny because it has John Candy you will be disappointed. Man, I hated this movie. I really, really did. Don't watch it. I'm begging you! Watch The Clown at Midnight (1999) instead. It at least has some entertainment value.
