15 Weird and Wonderful Movies With Killer Dolls

14. Dead of Night (1945)

Dead of Night is THE episodic horror film. It has spawned numerous imitations, but rarely are these new stories any match for the creepiness and entertainment value of this movie. The final chapter in Dead of Night gives us the story of a ventriloquist slowly being driven mad by his (living?) dummy. We've seen this scenario played out many times since 1945, including its best form in the movie Magic (1978), but the original is almost always the best. Weird or Wonderful? - Wonderful. This movie practically, if not actually, started the film folks on their killer doll bent.
