There are few films that are as infamous as this avant-garde art-house comedy/drama by Yugoslavian director DuĊĦan Makavejev. Sweet Movie would certainly test the stomach power of those with a tendency to be squeamish. Featuring copious amounts of (real) bodily fluids and surreal imagery, the content of the film caused one actress to walk off the set after she was asked to fondle a man's penis on screen (amongst other things). The film is particularly weird because of its two narrative strands and ambiguous meaning (as well as the aforementioned bodily fluids). The weirdness resulted in controversy and the film was banned in many countries around the world (and remains so in some to this day). One of the film's stars, Anna Prucnal, even had her Polish passport revoked because of her involvement in the film.
