10. The Man In Black (James Gale) - Return Of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1994)
The only reason to watch this 3rd sequel to Tobe Hoopers 1974 original is to see Bridget Jones tangle with a variety of unsavoury characters that include Leatherface, a pre-fame Matthew McConaughey as a loony cannibal, and a sinister Man In Black. For the first hour, the film is pretty much a carbon copy of Hoopers movie, then the Man In Blacks arrival takes it in a whole new direction. McConaughey is apparently one of the MIBs employees, tasked with making people know the true meaning of horror. Beyond that, theres no explanation, but McConaughey mustve ticked off his handlers something fierce because hes later assassinated by a low-flying plane (dont ask), after which MIB gives Zellweger a ride in his limo. When she arrives at a hospital, Zellweger meets three actors from the 1974 film: theres John Dugan (Grandpa) as a cop, Paul Partain (Franklin) as an orderly and, billed as Anonymous, Marilyn Burns (Sally) as a patient on a gurney. Dugan asks Zellweger, Do you know that girl? and.thats all she wrote. If anyone understands this movie, please leave a comment.
