15 Worst Months To Go To The Movies Since The Year 2000

14. February 2013

Number Of Movies Released: 11 Rotten Tomatoes Average: 41% Number of Movies Receiving Lower Than 40%: 5 The month of February is featured four times on this list. As I mentioned in the intro, it's generally considered to be the worst month to go to the movies. As for February 2013? If you thought this year's Valentine's Day weekend was bad, well... last year's was even worse. People were given the dubious honor of picking amongst Safe Haven, A Good Day To Die Hard, and Beautiful Creatures. I wonder if being forced to watch any of those movies badly damaged some people's relationships... The other weekends in February did not fare much better. There was the Sylvester Stallone actioner which nobody wanted to see (Bullet To The Head); conversely, despite abysmal reviews, Identity Thief wound up becoming the biggest hit of last winter. People love Melissa McCarthy, what else is there to say? While there were a few bright spots (Warm Bodies, Side Effects), given how terrible both February and March of 2013 were, it's a wonder how we even made it to the summer with our brains in tact.
