15 'WTF Did I Just Pay To See' Horror Movies

14. Piranha 3DD

Look, 2010's Piranha 3D - a remake of the far superior 1978 horror comedy Piranha from Gremlins director Joe Dante - wasn't very good at all, but it at least had the sense to keep things simple. The narrative was fairly basic and the film didn't bog itself down with loads of comedy, allowing the sheer absurdity of its set-pieces to produce the laughs.

On the other hand, its woeful 2012 sequel Piranha 3DD went completely over the top, throwing in a ton of ill-advised comedy, and the results were simply ghastly.

From David Hasselhoff's bizarre cameo as himself to Ving Rhames showing up with shotgun legs, from the offensive, practically pornographic sequences of female nudity to one of the most disgusting sex scenes in horror movie history (if you know, you know), Piranha 3DD never stops finding ways to induce exasperated eye-rolls right up until it finally concludes.

Thankfully, a third film never materialized.
