11. Finding Dory
It's almost like she's a f*cking fish.
Seriously. SERIOUSLY, though, read this absolutely awful full review and weep for humanity.
"Finding Nemo was cute. This addition was not. First of all, is Dory a girl? There is nothing about Dory that is feminine. Not even her eyes or the shape of her mouth. What you see on the cover pic is what you get. She's not pretty, sweet, charming, witty, or anything else. She's a completely asexual, uninteresting character with the ambiguous grownup voice of Ellen DeGeneres. Think of the character Pat from SNL. It felt as if a huge dimension of life, all sexual characteristics and feelings, was missing from the story. If you have a little girl who relates to being a girl, this movie will be a let down. Once Dory grows up (the first 5 minutes), there is nothing endearing about her. Perhaps boys won't care or notice one way or the other, since Dory is essentially...... not a girl. The story line (Dory can't remember anything because she has a short term memory disability), while capturing the sympathy of adults, tends to make the movie quite boring and monotonous. Dealing with people who have memory disabilities is not something that most people enjoy, particularly children. Even Dory's delivery of sadness at not being able to find her family is dull, devoid of feeling, and delivers zero reason for continuing to watch. If your child is over age 5, or capable of thinking for his/her self, dealing with dull Dory is going to be a drag."
WHY WASN'T DORY WEARING A SKIRT?!
