What's He Appearing In? Captain America: Civil War. Why You Should Be Excited: We're inching ever closer to the arrival of Civil War, but know pretty much nothing more about who Freeman is actually playing than we did when his casting was announced. It's been confirmed that he's going to be playing an agent for the American government and that the plan is for him to continue appearing in the MCU beyond the film, but rumors have pegged him as various characters from the Avengers-wrangling Henry Gyrich to T'Challa's trusted ally and friend Everett Ross. Whoever he turns out to be, Freeman himself is nonetheless a welcome addition to the MCU.
