16 Usually Cool Actors Dancing Like Noone Is Watching
There was once a time when leading men in Hollywood had to be triple threats: singing well, acting out of their skin and - most importantly - dancing like Fred Astaire. But that was a simpler time, when glitz and glamour were the beating hearts of Hollywood movies, and grit was something that stopped old ladies falling over on icey days, rather than a whole creative approach to film-making. Nowadays, dancing is a thing of the past in mainstream movies, with classically trained movers forced to live on scraps like Step Up, and the innumerate (and hopefully all canned) remakes of Dirty Dancing that should NEVER BE MADE. But every now and then, we see glimpses of the world that used to be, when actors forget themselves for a brief moment and let the magic of the music take them. The result is a potted history of actors beautifully and brilliantly dancing like noone is looking, cherishing the feeling of the beat and just not caring who judges them. Sometimes that is horrible for the film they're in, as in the first example below, and sometimes, the dancing is the highlight - but in every case, you can't knock the pleasure each actor is clearly having.
