3. Liam Hemsworth Was Almost Thor

You really have to feel for Liam Hemsworth: he travelled halfway across the world to audition for a career making role, made it to the final two and was ultimately passed up in favour of someone who looked pretty much identical to him. Had he not had a brother, Liam would have been Thor, and would not be remembered as the Hemsworth brother who was in Expendables and dated Miley Cyrus.

The final choice of who would be Thor came down to the Australian brothers and it seems Kenneth Branagh was more enamoured with Chris' audition. But at least Liam is pretty much guaranteed to be able to play an evil Thor clone villain if and when Marvel run out of ideas and start trotting out the same ideas as the failed comic book movies of the past.

It's probably only a matter of time.
