17 Fake Working Titles That Were Given To Famous Movies
7. "The Intimidation Game" - Batman Begins
Christopher Nolan has a knack for creating working titles for his movies that actually sound like legitimate movie titles. For Batman Begins, Nolan used "The Intimidation Game" to throw off those curious about his reboot. He used the trick again for The Dark Knight ("Rory's First Kiss") and The Dark Knight Rises ("Magnus Rex").
6. "Oliver's Arrow" - Inception
Christopher Nolan learned from his Batman experience on how useful a working title could be, but he let down a lot of comic book fans when they discovered that the working title for Inception had nothing to do with a Green Arrow movie. Green Arrow's civilian identity is Oliver Queen, and being that Nolan rebooted one DC Comics street-level superhero, fans already fans had their fingers crossed that he might be working on a Green Arrow film. However, a more obvious explanation is that Oliver is the name of one of Nolan's sons.
5. "Artemis" - The Hunger Games
One of the most popular and marketable images of The Hunger Games rides on Katniss Everdeen handling her bow and arrows. So it's no surprise that producers chose Artemis as the working title for this surprise smash hit. After all, Artemis is the Greek Goddess of the Hunt and she is usually depicted in artwork with a bow and arrows. "Robin Hood" would have been too obvious, we suppose.
