1. Thanos' Defeat - Avengers 4

Ever since it was revealed that Thanos was coming to the MCU and would have the Infinity Gauntlet in his possession (at least partly powered by Infinity Stones, too), the question of how anyone could take him down became incredibly pertinent.

Even without the Stones, Thanos is a superior foe than most of the Avengers have faced individually or as part of a team and handing him the Gauntlet is pretty much turning him into a god with aspirations to conquer the entire galaxy and the means to achieve it. So seculating quite who could best him in battle has been rampant (especially now that Squirrel Girl definitely isn't in the MCU...)

What is definitely assured is that the old adage of the mightier falling harder, and the Avengers sequel has been written into a difficult position that will require something seriously special to end it positively. Assuming, that is, that it ends positively...
