17 Subtle Star Wars Easter Eggs And References In Other Movies

12. Tar Wars - The Flintstones (1994)

When you think of the Flintstones, you think of bowling, wise-cracking dinosaurs and the drive in-cinema. None of the above featured heavily in the plot of Brian Levant€™s film, which was something of a buddy picture that followed Fred and Barney as lies, money and a seductive secretary threaten to come between their lifelong friendship. Not very Hanna-Barbera, is it? They did throw in a little visit to the drive-in at the start of the movie, however. As the family work their asses off to get their man-powered car to the show in time, they pass a rock slab advertising a film called Gorge Lucas€™ Tar Wars. The Flintstones was produced by Stephen Spielberg and is just one of a number of films in which he and George Lucas slyly reference each other€™s work.
