Much hype was made pre-release for Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie's "chrometrooper" Captain Phasma. She arrives early on and announces a sure presence for herself...but sadly doesn't get much to do in the movie at all. She appears intermittently throughout for a shot here and there, but any chance of her being "the new Boba Fett" feels mostly squandered when the heroes threaten her to turn some shields off and then throw her down a trash chute. She could make it up for herself in Episode VIII (she's gonna be hella p*ssed, after all), but it's a wildly underwhelming start for the character all the same.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
