After the Smithers drama, Daisy notices a guitar and, with Ruth's approval, decides to play a tune on it. She belts out a spirited rendition of the classic Australian folk ballad Jim Jones at Botany Bay, and after finishing, a moved Ruth asks her if she has another verse for it. She then plays an extra verse, though as she finishes playing, Ruth decides he's shown enough weakness, snatches the guitar and smashes it against the wall, shouting, "Music time's over!", much to Daisy's outrage. The payoff was pretty hilarious, but again, it just demonstrates how self-indulgent the movie's run-time is. A fine rendition no doubt, but it doesn't really move things forward, like, at all.
