16. There's A Mistake On The Police Car

After the Tech Noir shootout, Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor hide out in a car. As the Terminator drives by in a police vehicle he stole, we can see the side of his automobile reads, "to care and to protect". The automobile also has an emblem on the right, and the word "POLICE" with the numbers "1874" below.

After a car chase, the killer robot smashes his vehicle into a wall. Sarah inspects the vehicle, only to learn the Terminator is missing. Then again, so is the car he was driving! It's clear that James Cameron was unable to get the same police vehicle for this scene since the automobile looks different. To try and match the continuity, he used stickers on this car which read "POLICE" and "1874" and placed them on the side.

Despite his best efforts, Cameron completely forgot what the slogan on the side of the car read in the original shot. Instead of "to care and to protect", he used a sticker that read "Dedicated to serve". It seems like a minor continuity error but once you notice it, you can't unsee it.
