18 Things You Somehow Missed In Reservoir Dogs

17. Zero Female Presence

Reservoir Dogs
A Band Apart

Quentin Tarantino is no stranger to bringing to life, strong, compelling female characters. The likes of Mia Wallace, the Bride, Santanico Pandemonium, and Sharon Tate just to name a few, but he didn’t start out his directorial career in such a way.

Throughout Reservoir Dogs, there can be found absolutely no female influence, not one single female character outside of the woman who put the bullet in Mr. Orange’s gut, and not one single word spoken.

As well as this, though normally it wouldn’t be anything of note for any other director, there wasn’t even the typically expected shot of female feet Tarantino is so well known for.

Thankfully, things changed in this regard as early as Pulp Fiction two years later, but Reservoir Dogs is quite literally a total boys’ club.
