It's extremely impressive that, at the mere age of 24 while shooting his second movie, Kevin Smith could convince Marvel legend Stan Lee to appear in his little indie comedy centered around comic books.

When Jason Lee's Brodie is moping around the mall, he gets into a conversation with a wise older man, before eventually realising that the gentleman is in fact Stan Lee.

The two chat at length about comics and relationships, with Lee explaining that some of his best work came from heartbreak, but all the comics in the world can't rival that special someone. Brodie's pal Quint (Jeremy London) put Lee up to it, of course, but the inspirational story still served its purpose.

It's a terrifically entertaining and lengthy cameo, running about four minutes long, and what's more, Lee said that, over two decades later, it's still his favourite cameo.
