On Lost: Minnette appeared in several episodes of the show's final season as David Shephard, the son of Jack and Juliet in the flash-sideways.
In the MCU: He turned up as Donnie Gill in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s "Seeds," a first season episode that saw the character involved in an experiment gone wrong that gave him ice powers, though he was taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D.
He returned again in season two, pursued by HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D., where it was revealed that HYDRA had brainwashed him to use him as a weapon while in custody, and the events that unfolded left him shot and sinking to the bottom of the ocean, his ultimate fate left unknown ever since.
