20 Actor Nationalities You've Been Getting Wrong All Your Life

Not because you're ignorant or anything. Well, maybe.

Sometimes we take it for granted that actors don't fall into two categories. Not everyone is either American or British - there are other nationalities, despite what Hollywood likes to think. Sure, it's true that the majority of actors working in Hollywood today come from America or Britain - especially those who get cast in leading roles - but we shouldn't always presume that those actors we glimpse on a frequent basis hail from the countries of the accents they're talking in. There are lots of actors out there, in fact, who are probably of nationalities that you didn't even expect - either because they've changed their names, spent the sum of their careers trying to avoid being found out, or because... well, they don't match up to the stereotypical physical representations of people from certain countries. For whatever reason, then, join us as we take a journey through 20 actors whose nationalities you didn't know you didn't know. Please note: The definitions of what defines a person's nationality is a blurry one - some like to base it on the nationalities of their parents, whereas others regard it as the place you were actually born. As far as governments are concerned, it differs from place to place. For the purposes of this article, we'll be considering all definitions, because that's way more fun.
