Angelina Jolie did a remarkable job stepping into Maleficents cloak, but Julia Roberts as Mirror Mirrors Queen or Helena Bonham-Carter as Cinderellas Fairy Godmother? Not so much.
It seems that Disneys Maleficent has triggered production on an influx of live action Disney classics that will soon be seen on the silver screen. Given that 2014s Sleeping Beauty adaptation has set the bar rather high for those yet to come, it has never been more important to get the casting spot on.
Into The Woods chose Anna Kendrick to play Cinderella, whereas Kenneth Branaghs upcoming feature thinks Lily James a better fit for the princess. But perhaps the young and vibrant Jennifer Lawrence deserves the glass slipper?
