Picture Timothy Spall, in all his stumpy glory, shuffling around in the shadows of Notre Dame with a squint and ringing those bells. It works, right? With his slumped physicality, gauche disposition and rumpled face, its undeniable that Spall shares an unfortunate likeness to the monster.
